Land Registry is a successful, forward-looking and self-funding government agency that is responsible for registering land ownership in England and Wales. What we do: register title to land in England and Wales; record dealings (for example, sales and mortgages) with registered land.
Land Registry's good governance, public accountability and strategic and day-to-day management are the responsibility of its two top management boards. The Land Registry Board is responsible for the strategic direction, good governance and overall performance of Land Registry. It includes two non-executive directors who chair the Pay Committee and the Audit Committee. The Executive Board delivers the annual business plan and is responsible for the day-to-day management of Land Registry.
